I think my team is pretty good but my power hitters utley, sandoval, and holliday haven’t been hitting for power.The guys that have rolen, gomes, and boesch I am unsure if they can sustain it.
I would love to trade freese, figgens, rolen, maybe latos and lewis for a better player. And I don’t need two catchers but they are both to good to just release
Can you guys see a glaring weakness and see a spot where a change would do me good. I know my RP are weak and I was going to grab heilman yesterday but I got home from work to late and he was gone.
I’m currently sitting in 4th place out of the 12 teams.
Most players on the free agent wire are scrubs at this point so any change would involve a trade.
overall,it’s not a bad team……..what i would do is…..
try and trade Dan Haren and maybe Freese or Figgens for a solid 1B or a better OF……..your SP isnt very deep either,but Haren is a notoriously terrible 2nd 1/2 pitcher,and he is already showing signs of falling off…….he gives up way too many HR’s,and pitching at Chase Field,i wouldnt expect that to change……..
and yeah,your RP is definitely weak,but i learned a while ago that giving up value for RP just isnt worth it……closers come and go so often throughout the season……..look at how many closers have already changed since opening day…….
i dont like Sandoval at all…….maybe you can get someone to overpay for him,along w/ Lewis……and as good as Lewis has looked so far,when it gets really hot in July and August in Arlington,the ball flies out of the park like crazy……..thats why the Rangers have had terrible pitching for decades now(at least one of the reasons)…….plus,he’s a rookie…….bad combination,yknow?…..
