Becoming a web designer?
Hi,
I’m looking at options for training to become a web designer in the UK. I’ve been designing HTML sites for a while now, and looking to expand my skills with a view to building a portfolio and trying to take on some freelance work.
There are a lot of Certified Internet Webmaster courses, and I was wondering whether anyone knows how good they are? I know there are a lot of free resources online, but would prefer the structure of a home study course.

I have noticed that some web courses in colleges teach some outdated stuff, which is unfortunate… although many of them teach current stuff.
I’ve found the best way to REALLY learn is by free online resources, but just for your image to your potential customers, recommend taking a college course or two…
