I want to work at home answering calls by computer for doctors or medical groups. Any suggestions?
I am in New York state, near cities of Ithaca, Corning, Geneva, Elmira and Seneca Falls. I would like to use my computer to answer medical calls, set up appointments, advise patients if they need to go to hospital or call ambulance or call 911. Do you know of any medical groups that are employing for this work at home?
Most groups use a professional service to handle calls–you could contact those & see what their requirements are. There a pretty strict legal and privacy issues at work here (HIPPA) so you could NOT advise patients at all (to call 911 or hospital etc) and using a personal computer to set up appointments is also fairly regulated. Nose around and see what the pros are doing.

Legitimate At Home Careers?
I am looking for a career I can do from home as a stay at home mom? I don’t mean Avon or anything like that. I mean a career that pays hourly or so and takes school, etc. I was looking into Medical Transcription. Does anyone know anymore careers like this that I could work from home? Please only serious answers. Thank you.
Have you considered creating a website about a subject that you enjoy and know a thing or two about? My wife and I have been running a few websites for about a year and are amazed at the results.
Basically you bulid a website with good/valuable information. People find your website when they are looking for the information you have written about. You make money when the seeker clicks your ads (from Google) or clicks/buys other things that are on your site (called Affiliate sales.)
To brainstorm the website idea, determine profitability, and easily build the site we used a special web-based tool. The tool walks you through every step of the process with both video and text instructions. Its pretty amazing. You can see the monthly commission check which is actually now out of date and much lower than what we get now.
The website subjects we chose are surprisingly simple. Also, there are apparently people making 10x what we are earning on our site. Again, its amazing.
