I want to work at home answering calls by computer for doctors or medical groups. Any suggestions?
I am in New York state, near cities of Ithaca, Corning, Geneva, Elmira and Seneca Falls. I would like to use my computer to answer medical calls, set up appointments, advise patients if they need to go to hospital or call ambulance or call 911. Do you know of any medical groups that are employing for this work at home?
Most groups use a professional service to handle calls–you could contact those & see what their requirements are. There a pretty strict legal and privacy issues at work here (HIPPA) so you could NOT advise patients at all (to call 911 or hospital etc) and using a personal computer to set up appointments is also fairly regulated. Nose around and see what the pros are doing.

What are some of the jobs you have had?
I have been working since the age of 14 and have had quite a few jobs, here is a list:
Picked tobacco and peanuts
Worked as a tutor
CNA for a nursing home – when I was sixteen. Got a good dose of death here. sad work 
Usher at a movie theater while attending college for radiology
X-ray tech – hated the job so I quit it for something else
Sears – sold electronics now at age 19
Dispatcher and operator for local branch of 911 – crazy stuff here ranging from people complaining about bees buzzing to loud, to a divorced man blowing his brains out in front of his ex-wife and kids over the phone.
for the past five years, I have been a correctional officer – I love this job. I have a good sense of accomplishment, great people skills, and loads of common sense. Also I am six foot three and am three hundred pounds of ripped steel, so the inmates leave me the hell alone.
I love my job of keeping the criminals tucked away from society.
What jobs have you had?
Well i certainly like to hear that you are keeping the Criminals out of society. I know a walking free child molester that i would like to see put away .My first job was at the age of fourteen and it was babysitting. My 2nd was at the age of 16 was tutoring, When i married i had twins so that was a rewarding but tiring job. Then when they were 2 i went into management. Since then i have and still work with children and i simply adore them.
