Work at Home………….?
I wanted to know if there is any real, reliable jobs if you want to work at home? I am a stay at home mom who is looking to make a few extra bucks. I would love to work at home, but Im very skeptical on where to look and what to trust. Does anyone have any ideas? Anything but Avon or anything kinda like Avon. If so let me know.

I have been working from home for 5 years.
It is great to be able to set my own hours and work days, but is still work. If you are serious, send me an email to the address above or see my profile for more information.
I can help you get started and give you any advice I can through email (obviously for free).

Programs for the disabled- after high school?
My brother is 19 years old and has Down syndrome. I am looking for a program to have him in once or week, or several times per week. He just recently graduated from high school in June 2008 and my Mom decided not to keep him in high school for 1 more year which I totally disagree with. She drops him off at my house and he is with me all day (because I am home with my baby) until she picks him up at 6pm. She is at work all day and doesn’t realize he needs social interaction. I agree everyone needs a break, but he needs to have routine. He needs to stimulate his brain and interact with other people. It is not good he is in the house all day. I want to find a program for him. I live in the Durham Region of Ontario, Canada. Does anyone have any advice?
Wow sweetie, you sound so much more mature than your age!! Looking after a Special needs person is very demanding as well as looking after a baby so I take my hat off to you, you sound like you are doing a great job looking after your brother and I bet deep down, he really appreciates that too. You are right though he really does need some social interaction. Does he have some friends that could perhaps take him under their wing and help him? We have here in Australia, an organization called “The Endeavour Foundation” which takes on Special needs people and gives them a job and the interaction they need for socialization. They are just wonderful. While my eldest, also special needs, is a long way off that, it really is a comfort knowing they are there if she can’t get a job else where. The only other place I can suggest is contacting the Downs Syndrome Organization, tell them where you are at and about your brother, his age etc and what skills he has and doesn’t have yet and see if they can point you in the right direction or at least give you some contact names of who can help. I’m sure they will be able to assist you tho. Good luck sweetie and all the very best to you and your brother. Some of my daughter’s best friends are Downs kiddies and they are just gorgeous people xx
