I want to work at home answering calls by computer for doctors or medical groups. Any suggestions?
I am in New York state, near cities of Ithaca, Corning, Geneva, Elmira and Seneca Falls. I would like to use my computer to answer medical calls, set up appointments, advise patients if they need to go to hospital or call ambulance or call 911. Do you know of any medical groups that are employing for this work at home?
Most groups use a professional service to handle calls–you could contact those & see what their requirements are. There a pretty strict legal and privacy issues at work here (HIPPA) so you could NOT advise patients at all (to call 911 or hospital etc) and using a personal computer to set up appointments is also fairly regulated. Nose around and see what the pros are doing.

how can women say its harder to stay at home then to go to work?
24/7 is a joke, maybe if your kids are 6 months old! but as your kids get older they learn how to take care of themselves (dress them self, eat, wash themselves)
i have twins and i would pick staying home with them compared to going to work, there is no commute, no co workers to mess with, no deadlines to meet, and no new ideas to come up with!
taking care of kids is easy, you feed them, clean them, dress them, and teach them about life!
It depends obviously on the work, and the home environment.
At work, sometimes you just have to obey orders and not think. There can be a lot less responsibility, and so less stress. Children are very clever, time consuming, and need total attention if you bring them up properly. In addition their conversation is childish and often the adult wants a proper one on one talk. Unless you are experienced or a trained teacher, you need new ideas all the time to make things interesting for your kids.
