Work at home?
I’m a college student and am looking for something I can do at home. I need extra money to help with my expenses. All the work at home ads I’ve seen on the internet or in the paper require a deposit, but after some research I have found that most of those companies just send a book.
I don’t need a book. I need an actual job.
My question : Does anyone know of a company that is legit. Not one that I have to pay for them to send me ‘advice’. Stuffing envelopes, assembling products, etc. is ideal. But any help is appreciated!
The following website is an excellent resource for someone looking to work from home aka telecommute. Below is a list of companies from the website. If you go to the website, you will see links to the companies.
Hope this helps and good luck in school!

Who has the harder job me or my husband? Or in general a stay at home mom or her husband who goes out and work
My husband works 12 hour shifts at night and we have a one year old son. Here’s an example of my day: I feed/change/play/ and do everything else for son all day and night (I never get a break basically – hubby is working or sleeping). I make hubbys lunch. Rub his feet. Set out his clothes before work. Set him out a towel so he can take a shower when he gets home. Fix him a meal for him to eat before work. Do all the housework (laundry, dishes, vaccuum, etc.) Do bills. Do all of the shopping. Go to college online and do schoolwork and study. Every couple of days I bake him cookies or his favorite desserts, and lots of other things. Which do you think is the harder job honestly? My husband says that he has the harder job.
I’m not trying to be rude, but it really sounds like you need a pat on the back. And we Stay at home Moms very rarely get those. Working parents get paychecks, bonuses, “atta boy” comments and some perks. These are all reinforcements that they are doing a good job. We get perks too, but they aren’t as evident (like seeing our kids walk/talk/accomplish something for the first time). I very rarely get any time to sit down during the day. I stay very busy with 3 kids. My husband honestly recognizes what I do and I’m thankful for that. If my husband thought my “work” was meaningless, it’d really hurt.
My husband, for instance, can go in late if he wants. And leave early. And go on a 3 hour lunch at the company’s expense. Or he can take a vacation day. There’s something about being solely responsible for another person’s life 24/7 that can really take it out of you.
Realize that what you do matters. Don’t make it a competition. Has he ever stayed at home for 3-4 days ALONE with the child? Let him do that.
Take care and please know that what you are doing is worthwhile.
And I’d honestly think about marriage therapy if this continues. It’s not healthy.
