Why not the Govt impose regulation on advertsements on “work from home” jobs exploitng weakness of people?

There are a lot of attractive advertisements appearing in the Print Media and the internet offering various home based jobs or work from home jobs, part time / full time jobs etc. for data entry work, data editing, data correction, data conversion, Web surfing, email reading etc. The weak minded people in an urge to get a earning fall a prey to these advertisements. If one visits any of the web site mentioned in the Ad. you may find at the last paragraph that you have to pay consultancy fees or some arbitrary payment. If the Companies are really interested in getting the jobs done they can make some online interview of the aspirant, and give sample works on line by sending scanned matter for data conversion and editing and also data entry work etc., verify the credentials of the applicant sincerely for security including physical verification and offer jobs. Instead, these advertisements do little to offer real time jobs in the true sense.

It will be hard to stop it completely as most of these adverts are online or they don’t have any physical contact details (eg just a mobile phone number or an email address, which makes it harder to trace them).
People need to be educated about the dangers of these scams. And I also think newspapers should refuse to accept any adverts which look dodgy, or at the very least put a warning on the page saying that people shouldn’t send money in return for information.
